This year was an excellent one for the new technologies and best apps to be released for both mobile platforms: Android and iOS. So what are the best apps of 2016 launched in Spain? I made a list of the most useful ones, app winners of the year. I mostly focused on their benefits, features, functionality, descriptions, reviews, UX design and unique technologies that were used. Also, I would like to note, that most of these apps you will find only in the Spanish Google Play Market and App Store.

Drivies was launched by Telefonica I+D. The app that encourages you to drive better and safer by means of technology. You might wonder how the application can control your driving habits? Drivies uses the capabilities and sensors of mobile phones and innovative technologies that are patterned by Telefonica I+D, analysing all the data. Analysed data might help a good driver get benefits and can save up to 50 euros on his insurance. The better you drive, the more savings you accumulate. I really like the idea of the app; Why not to promote the better quality of life and try to slow down the trend of car accidents by such smart apps as Drivies.
3. GLOVO
Deliver anything from any store with Glovo application. This mobile app was launched in Barcelona one year ago and now it successfuly operates in 8 cities and 3 countries: Spain, France and Italy. What you need to do is just to order from your favourite store and wait for the fastest delivery ever. Feel free to ask to deliver you something that is even hardly imaginable. For Glovo nothing is impossible. Glovo’s categories include pharmacies, restaurants, markets and even special category named as ‘anything’. Glovo is able to deliver you completely anything you need and want, just try it personally.
4. WALLAPOP
Wallapop is a free mobile application for selling stuff locally. You can sell anything, starting from your favourite tea cup to your car. Just take a picture, upload it in the application and wait until someone would like to buy it. You can use a bunch of filters and categories to find want you really need: filter using your location, set preferable categories or even price. More than 6 million people have already joined it, you could be the next.
5. HEAR, HERE
This mobile application is unusually hard to describe, better try by yourself. Hear, Here is about sounds that surround us, including all the noises and people’s voices. It gives you an unlimited control over all these real-world sounds by filtering the environment sounds through one of the filters. Try free 7 filters like: super hearing, happy, relax, auto volume, talk, office, sleep. I enclose the quote by Federico Vittic from MACSTORIES: “It’s completely awesome and kind of surreal. An experience that’s not easy to describe in words.”. I guess that after such description you would like try to turn a stressful sound into something harmonic. Its important to mention that the app was awarded as the best spanish application 2016 according to The App Date Awards.
6. ELPARKING
The new parking app makes the process of searching and paying for a parking space much more easier. Install ElParking mobile app, create a profile with an internal e-wallet and just start searching for the nearest or cheapest private and public parkings. Moreover, you can reserve a parking space for the exact time. The app will navigate you to the reserved parking place and will pay for it from your e-wallet. Would like to rent a car but shocked about market’s prices. Nowadays, there is a chance to rent a car cheaper than you can imagine with all the guarantees and insurances.
